About me:
I have over 20 years’ experience and have had a broad range of experience across the non-for-profit sector in children, adolescents, and family services, as well as out of home care services, adoption and permanent care, foster care, AOD services and financial services.
I have facilitated presentations and seminars in the private and non-for-profit sector and I have extensive experience in critical debriefing. I have lectured as a sessional Lecturer at a University, and I have held Senior positions in counselling businesses and in the Out Of Home Care system in the northern and western division of Melbourne. I have been working in private practice since 2015.
How I will help you:
I work with Adults and I have a great interest in ADHD, attachment styles and the impact of how thoughts affect how an individual feels and behaves. I enjoy helping individuals create change in their lives, big or little and educate them on how they can improve or take some control of their patterns of behaviours. I am keen on assisting individuals to embrace their vulnerability and breakdown negative patterns to create new learning styles and “breakthrough” moments to assist with change.
I foster a welcoming, empathetic, and warm approach that helps individuals to explore and develop insight on their goals towards personal growth, positive change and improving emotional and mental health wellbeing.
My three favourite things:
- Walking my Mareema sheep dog
- Baking
- Taking time out for myself, I call it having an “appointment with myself”.
