Why it matters

Your brain doesn’t always distinguish between imagined experiences and real ones. That means visualization can be a powerful way to shift your internal state—especially when your thoughts are stuck in loops of stress, worry, or fear.

How to practice:

  • Find a quiet, comfortable space
  • Optional: Play a soft meditation soundtrack
  • Close your eyes and focus on positive, calming images (a safe place, a happy memory, nature)
  • Breathe slowly and deeply as you visualize
  • Continue for 10 minutes
