About me

Hi, I’m Renae — a psychologist with a background in fine arts and a passion for the science of human behaviour. My path into psychology has taken me through a wide range of settings, including adolescent mental health, homelessness and justice services, cancer support, and private practice. I bring a thoughtful, creative lens to my work, and I love supporting people to reconnect with themselves in ways that feel both grounded and empowering. I’m also a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community and welcome clients from all walks of life.

How I will help you

My approach is warm, holistic, and person-centred. I work with you to better understand your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours — not as things to fight, but as signals to meet with curiosity and compassion. Drawing on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, mindfulness, and narrative practices, I’ll support you to navigate challenges such as trauma, grief, anxiety, ADHD, and emotional regulation. I believe in the healing power of connection and will walk alongside you as we gently explore and shift what’s no longer serving you.

When I’m not working

You’ll find me pottering in the garden, reading or writing poetry, or snuggled up with my greyhound and cat.

  • You do not need a referral to see a Psychologist at Seed Psychology. However, if you’d like to claim a Medicare rebate, you will need a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) from your GP. With a MHCP, you may be eligible for rebates on up to 10 sessions per calendar year. These sessions can be used at any psychology clinic of your choice. To access Medicare psychology rebates, book an appointment with your GP and ask for a Mental Health Care Plan. Most referrals begin with 6 sessions, with the option to access 4 more after a review. Referrals can also be provided by a psychiatrist or paediatrician.

  • Our client care team will support you through every step of getting started. They’ll take the time to understand your needs and preferences, then thoughtfully match you with a psychologist whose approach and availability align with what you’re looking for.

When matching you with a Psychologist, we consider:

    • The reason you’re seeking therapy
    • Your availability and preferred session times
    • Whether you’d like to attend in person or online
    • The therapeutic approaches most suited to your needs
    • Any other preferences you share with us
  • We understand that finding the right fit is important. Building a strong relationship with your psychologist can take time, but if at any point you feel the connection isn’t quite right, we’ll support you in transferring to someone new. Your well-being is always our priority.

  • Our experienced team of Psychologists offers warm, evidence-based support that’s collaborative, inclusive and grounded in genuine understanding. We provide individual, relationship or family therapy for a wide range of concerns. Additionally, we offer couples therapy, online therapy, psychological assessments (including ADHD and Autism Spectrum Assessments), and workshops.

  • If you have extras cover, private health insurance may provide rebates. Check your individual policy for coverage and claiming options.
