About me

Hi, I’m Kealey, a Clinical Psychologist and one of the Directors at Seed Psychology. I’ve been supporting people in the mental health field for over 20 years, across hospitals, forensic services, and private practice. My work is grounded in a deep respect for the complexity of human experience, especially the ways our early relationships shape how we see ourselves and connect with others. I work with a broad range of concerns, but I’m particularly passionate about supporting people who feel impacted by past relationships, especially when these have shaped their sense of self, emotional safety, or patterns of connection. Many of my clients are working to build self-worth, break entrenched patterns, or soften the grip of the inner critic. Together, we make space for insight, strength, and self-compassion to emerge.

How I will help you

Therapy with me is warm, thoughtful, and insight-oriented. I draw on cognitive, experiential, and emotion-focused models, and I’m especially interested in the relational field that develops between us. At times, this means gently naming patterns that may no longer serve you-not to judge them, but to understand where they came from and what you need now. We work at your pace, but always toward a greater sense of authenticity, agency, and connection.

When I’m not working

I find joy and creative energy through music and performance, particularly singing. I also feel most grounded when I’m moving — whether that’s hiking a trail, lifting weights at the gym, or spending time outdoors. These parts of my life nourish me and help create the balance I try to support in others too.

  • You do not need a referral to see a Psychologist at Seed Psychology. However, if you’d like to claim a Medicare rebate, you will need a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) from your GP. With a MHCP, you may be eligible for rebates on up to 10 sessions per calendar year. These sessions can be used at any psychology clinic of your choice. To access Medicare psychology rebates, book an appointment with your GP and ask for a Mental Health Care Plan. Most referrals begin with 6 sessions, with the option to access 4 more after a review. Referrals can also be provided by a psychiatrist or paediatrician.

  • Our client care team will support you through every step of getting started. They’ll take the time to understand your needs and preferences, then thoughtfully match you with a psychologist whose approach and availability align with what you’re looking for.

When matching you with a Psychologist, we consider:

    • The reason you’re seeking therapy
    • Your availability and preferred session times
    • Whether you’d like to attend in person or online
    • The therapeutic approaches most suited to your needs
    • Any other preferences you share with us
  • We understand that finding the right fit is important. Building a strong relationship with your psychologist can take time, but if at any point you feel the connection isn’t quite right, we’ll support you in transferring to someone new. Your well-being is always our priority.

  • Our experienced team of Psychologists offers warm, evidence-based support that’s collaborative, inclusive and grounded in genuine understanding. We provide individual, relationship or family therapy for a wide range of concerns. Additionally, we offer couples therapy, online therapy, psychological assessments (including ADHD and Autism Spectrum Assessments), and workshops.

  • If you have extras cover, private health insurance may provide rebates. Check your individual policy for coverage and claiming options.
