Carmine Cristarella
About me
Hi, I’m Carmine, a psychologist who is passionate about creating a warm, grounded, and collaborative space where clients can feel genuinely heard and understood. I work with individuals, couples and families across the lifespan (including children, adolescents, and adults) and have experience supporting clients with a broad range of life challenges, including anxiety, depression, stress, grief/loss, relationship difficulties, personality vulnerabilities, ADHD, autism, and trauma. I also have a strong interest in supporting neurodivergent individuals and providing comprehensive Cognitive and ADHD assessments using a range of evidence-based psychometric tools. My goal is to support people with curiosity, respect, and care, helping them make sense of their experiences and move toward a more meaningful and fulfilling life.
How I will help you
My therapeutic approach is warm, respectful, and tailored to your individual needs. I aim to create a safe and validating environment where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at a pace that feels manageable and supportive. I draw from a range of evidence-based therapies – including CBT, Schema Therapy, ACT, DBT, mindfulness, and trauma-informed approaches. I work collaboratively with you to understand what is happening, recognise long-standing patterns, and build practical skills that support real and lasting change. For clients seeking assessment, I offer thorough Cognitive and ADHD assessments with clear and personalised recommendations to guide the next steps in your wellbeing, learning, and supportive needs. Above all, I aim for our sessions to feel grounding, empowering, and genuinely supportive.
When I’m not working
I love to spend time surrounding myself in nature – hiking, running, and cycling. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading novels, watching a good movie, travelling, and always taking the opportunity to experience and learn something new.

You do not need a referral to see a Psychologist at Seed Psychology. However, if you’d like to claim a Medicare rebate, you will need a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) from your GP. With a MHCP, you may be eligible for rebates on up to 10 sessions per calendar year. These sessions can be used at any psychology clinic of your choice. To access Medicare psychology rebates, book an appointment with your GP and ask for a Mental Health Care Plan. Most referrals begin with 6 sessions, with the option to access 4 more after a review. Referrals can also be provided by a psychiatrist or paediatrician.
