All personal information gathered by Seed Psychology during the provision of the psychological service will remain confidential and secure except where:
- It is subpoenaed by a court, or
- Failure to disclose the information would place you or another person at serious imminent risk; or
- Your prior approval has been obtained to:
- Provide a written report to another professional or agency (e.g. GP). Please note if you have been referred under Medicare, reports at 6 and 10 sessions are provided to the referrer.
- Discuss the material with another person (e.g. employer, spouse)
- If disclosure is otherwise required or authorised by law
Your psychologist has a legal and ethical responsibility to keep all psychological services conducted via face to face or telehealth, confidential unless under circumstances previously specified.
