About me:

Over the past 15 years I have worked in community health, specialist drug and alcohol agencies, hospital inpatient and outpatient settings, private practice and tertiary level academia. I believe in inclusive communities, and I consider myself an ally to people from all backgrounds, abilities and identities. I am fascinated by the neuroscience of mindfulness, and sensorimotor approaches to healing and reintegrating our mind, body and emotional experiences. I’m also interested in reintegrating our own internal systems to strengthen our sense of connectedness with others.

How I will help you:

I have compassion for people’s experiences, an openness to diversity, and a fundamental respect for human beings and their potential to thrive. I understand that therapy can often be challenging, and that feeling safe and supported in the therapeutic relationship is important. My approach is to work alongside you, at your pace, to help you make contact with your own sense of wisdom and internal guiding compass, uncover new insights, learn new skills and better access existing strengths.

My three favourite things:

  1. Karate and yoga.
  2. Being out in nature with my friends – hiking, picnics, frisbee.
  3. Whether it be getting lost in an art gallery, a road trip or an overseas adventure, I like exploring new places in the world.
