I have 18 years of psychotherapy and counselling experience in various settings, including community health, private practice and a university counselling service. I am experienced in the treatment of a wide range of mental health concerns, for clients across all age groups and demographics.
My diverse career experience has provided me with a rich understanding of human behavior, psychological distress and its complexities. The capacity and resilience of the human spirit to overcome challenges, always continues to motivate and inspire me.
How I will help you:
I understand that accessing therapy requires a lot of courage and I never take this for granted. For this reason, it is very important to me that I create a genuine, caring, non-judgmental, safe place for therapy to occur. In this environment, a trusting therapeutic relationship can develop where we can explore your challenges and work together to address them. Using evidence-based practices, this will be done gently and respectfully.
While we will primarily focus on your current challenges, we will also focus on building your strengths. Ultimately, my goal is to help you relieve stress, gain new insights, learn new skills, and achieve meaningful positive change.
